Digital Portfolio Manager (5 days/week on site)
Soni's client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Digital Portfolio Manager to shape and advance their digital banking capabilities. In this role, you will define direction, prioritize investments, and guide the ongoing development of a modern, secure, and scalable digital ecosystem. You will translate customer needs and market signals into practical solutions that drive engagement and deliver measurable impact to the bottom line.
This position is ideal for a leader who blends business strategy, technology expertise, and strong people leadership-someone who can influence stakeholders, build alignment, and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
• Establish and execute a forward-looking digital banking roadmap aligned to organizational goals.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts and digital specialists to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Drive innovation while maintaining disciplined execution and operational excellence.
• Champion initiatives that improve performance, customer experience, and financial outcomes.
Execution & Delivery
• Monitor digital performance metrics and customer behaviors to inform decision-making.
• Facilitate team discussions to prioritize work, solve problems, and remove barriers.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment on timelines, scope, and deliverables.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure platforms are optimized for reliability and growth.
Product & Platform Management
• Lead enhancements and ongoing support for digital platforms, including Q2 digital banking solutions.
• Support implementations such as online account opening and other customer-facing tools.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and fraud teams to strengthen security and user trust.
• Contribute to system upgrades, conversions, and new feature rollouts.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing product, application, or digital banking teams.
• Strong working knowledge of digital banking platforms, including Q2 and related ecosystems.
• Experience with online account opening solutions and digital onboarding journeys.
• Familiarity with tools, platforms, or providers such as Candescent (or similar digital banking technologies).
• Deep understanding of payments operations (ACH, cards, checks, positive pay).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results that positively impact the bottom line.
Communication & Influence
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas and insights.
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
• Skilled at translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Technical & Operational Expertise
• Knowledge of APIs, automation tools, and system integrations.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Awareness of digital security practices, fraud mitigation, and identity protection tools.
Education & Background
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience in digital banking, financial technology, or product management roles.
