Job description

SUMMARY
The Onboarding and Experience Specialist is responsible for executing all onboarding related activities for new team members and transfers for the system. The Onboarding and Experience Specialist is responsible for processing in-seat promotions, demotions, lateral moves and additional jobs for team members. The Onboarding and Experience Specialist is committed to ensuring a positive onboarding experience for team members. The Onboarding and Experience Specialist will also serve as a point of continued support for new team members through their first year of hire at Rochester Regional Health. The Onboarding and Experience Specialist will help acclimate new team members to the health system and provide an experience where team members feel welcomed and have a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding
• Responsible for building relationship with new team members and existing employees throughout the pre-employment and transfer onboarding process.
• Responsible for mentoring the candidate through the onboarding process, communicating next steps and timelines to ensure validation of qualifications in a timely manner.
• Communicates candidate status to key stakeholders such as: hiring manager, recruiter, learning and development and any additional departments throughout the onboarding process.
• Manages all pre-employment background checks to include those required by company or regulatory authorities.
• Partners with affiliations to schedule pre-employment health appointments for new team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
• Responsible for supporting new team members through their first year of employment.
• Responsible for creating an environment of engaging and belonging for new team members.
• Responsible for communicating to leader identified issues related to new team members experience.
• Responsible for collecting and documenting new team member feedback and sharing with appropriate parties.
