Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Drive our client's expansion in the local stormwater sector through focused business development efforts, including strengthening key client relationships and engaging in strategic participation with select professional organizations..
  • Partner with Stormwater Client Service Leads company-wide to bolster local market growth and co-develop strategies that foster long-term innovation and expansion in stormwater services.
  • Take the lead on implementing advanced 1D and 2D hydraulic and hydrologic models in urban environments, both locally and across watersheds, to guide the planning and design of infrastructure such as pipelines, open channels, pump stations, stabilized channels, storage and treatment facilities, multi-benefit solutions, and other conveyance systems
  • Oversee detailed design efforts, including preparation of contract deliverables (plans and specifications), completion of hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, technical reporting, and other tasks supporting the planning, design, and construction of stormwater infrastructure.
  • Collaborate across disciplines with engineers, designers, scientists, and other specialists to deliver high-quality, integrated project outcomes.
  • Some travel is required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Stormwater / Water Resource engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months
  • Proven track record in leading the planning and design of urban stormwater solutions addressing both water quantity and quality challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with a range of modeling and design tools, including ICPR (1D/2D), HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.
  • Skilled in identifying, designing, and optimizing multi-benefit urban stormwater management projects.
  • Familiarity with standard stormwater analysis tools, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. (+)
