The Intake Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the initial patient engagement process, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake experience. This position is responsible for gathering and verifying essential patient information, coordinating communication between patients and internal teams, and facilitating timely service delivery. The Intake Coordinator acts as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy. By maintaining accurate records and managing documentation, the coordinator supports compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role contributes to building strong patient relationships and streamlining operational workflows to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare, social services, or related environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management.

  • Notifies the Registered Nurse of the patient's desire for treatment and the patient's response to any previous treatment to assist in determining the need for further assessment and documents in the pre-admission form accurately and appropriately.
