Position Overview:

Chef for Hire is seeking compassionate and dependable Delivery Drivers to help serve aging adults and individuals with disabilities throughout our communities. This role is more than traditional package or food delivery โ€” our drivers play an essential part in ensuring clients receive not only their meals, but also safe, respectful, and reliable service.

Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering meals accurately while following detailed client instructions and providing exceptional care during every interaction. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to going above and beyond to ensure clients receive the meals they depend on.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently deliver meals to clients according to assigned routes and schedules
  • Follow detailed client delivery instructions and notes with accuracy and care
  • Allow ample time for client interactions, especially for aging adults and individuals with disabilities
  • Bring meals inside the clientโ€™s residence when required or requested
  • Maintain direct contact with clients during deliveries and never leave meals unattended
  • Make every reasonable effort to ensure successful meal delivery and prevent missed meals
  • Communicate delivery concerns, client issues, or unsuccessful delivery attempts promptly to management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and equipment
  • Follow all food safety, company, and HIPAArelated confidentiality procedures
  • Work collaboratively with customer service and operations team
  • Qualifications:
  • At least 25 years of age
  • Valid Indiana driverโ€™s license
  • Clean driving record for the past 7 years
  • Ability to lift and carry meal bags (up to 50 lbs) and navigate stairs as needed
  • Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to team communication
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Wages Hours, and Benefits:
  • Starting wage of $18.50 per hour
  • Monday through Friday, timing varies
  • Thanksgiving and Christmas off paid
  • Vacation and Sick Time accumulation
