Job description

Overview

Some careers are just jobs. This one is different. At Georgia HOPE, the work you do every day creates meaningful change for children, families, and individuals who need it most.

We're a Georgia-based behavioral health provider on a mission to instill hope, empower lives, and strengthen communities. Our team specializes in supporting individuals facing emotional and behavioral challenges-often those who have experienced trauma, instability, or significant life stressors. We deliver services directly in the homes, schools, and communities where our clients live and grow, because real progress happens when care is personalized, strengths-focused, and meets people where they are.

As part of the Health Connect America family-a COA-accredited organization serving children, families, and adults across nine states-you'll have the resources, support, and professional development of a larger organization, paired with the close-knit, mission-focused culture that defines our work.

If you're looking for a career where your impact is visible, your growth is supported, and your work truly matters, you'll find it here.

Responsibilities

If you're someone who believes progress happens through consistent support, real-life skill building, and meaningful human connection, this role was built for you.

As a Client Support Specialist at Georgia HOPE, you'll work directly with individuals and families in their everyday environments - helping them build skills, access resources, and move toward greater independence and stability.

What You'll Do

As a Client Support Specialist, you'll provide hands-on, community-based support to children, adolescents, or adults with behavioral health needs. Your work will be relationship-driven, skill-focused, and centered on helping clients achieve sustainable progress. Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Deliver community-based support services in homes and other real-world settings, meeting clients where they are
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned clients, including both in-person and phone-based support, to monitor needs and progress
  • Review client history, assessments, and treatment plans to ensure services align with individualized goals
  • Support clients and families in developing and achieving goals outlined in their Individualized Recovery Plan (IRP)
  • Teach coping strategies, emotional regulation, and daily living skills to promote independence and symptom management
  • Help clients identify triggers, build resilience, and develop appropriate behavioral responses
  • Assist with school, work, and family functioning by reinforcing practical, real-life skills
  • Connect clients and families to community resources that support basic needs, stability, and long-term success
  • Proactively support crisis prevention by helping clients develop safety plans and identify support systems
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, clinical teams, and community partners to ensure coordinated, whole-person care
  • Track service utilization and maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Participate in team meetings, case staffing, and ongoing training to ensure high-quality service delivery
What to Expect

This is a community-based role, meaning much of your work will take place in clients' homes and local environments. Your schedule will include a mix of structured visits and flexible time to meet client needs.

Success in this role requires adaptability, strong time management, and the ability to build trust with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who bring a genuine commitment to children and families and meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with at least two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health or related field
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with mental health or behavioral health needs preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based work
