Job Description
Interventional Radiology Technologist
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology or related experience
- Travel experience required
- Preferred experience in Trauma Level II settings
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R)
- Must hold a valid license in Georgia or a compact license at the time of submission
- Proficiency in the following interventional procedures: angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, nephrostomy, cholecystostomy, IVC filter placement/removal, TIPS, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Experience in line access and care, including PICC and central venous access
- Familiarity with image guidance techniques such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound
- Experience with electronic medical records systems, specifically Epic
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures and assist in visualizing anatomy using radiologic technology
- Maintain sterile techniques during procedures, ensuring all equipment is operational and set up correctly
- Provide support to the medical team as a scrub or room circulator
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of interventional imaging equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care
Compliance / Notes
- On-call responsibility is rotated every 4 weeks
- Submit required time-off requests at the time of application, with a maximum of 7 days allowed
- Expected to work major holidays depending on the number that occur during the assignment
- Modules completed during orientation will be recorded; non-billable hours will be factored into contract length
