Job description

Experienced Associate Veterinarian | Collaborative Team, Exceptional Support Staff, Flexible Four-Day Work Week
Associate Veterinarian
Spanish Fort Animal Clinic | Spanish Fort, Alabama
At Spanish Fort Animal Clinic, we believe great medicine starts with a great team.
We're seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our growing practice on Alabama's Eastern Shore. Demand for veterinary care in our community continues to grow, and we're looking for a veterinarian who wants to step into an established caseload while working alongside a collaborative team known for its strong culture, experienced support staff, and commitment to exceptional patient care.
This opportunity is ideal for a well-rounded GP veterinarian who enjoys a mix of wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery while working alongside experienced doctors who value collaboration, teamwork, and high-quality medicine. Our doctors enjoy the autonomy of practicing medicine their way while benefiting from a supportive environment where ideas, knowledge, and case discussions are freely shared.
Why Spanish Fort Animal Clinic?

At Spanish Fort Animal Clinic, we've built a collaborative and supportive environment where veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members work together toward a common goal: providing exceptional patient care and client service.
You'll be supported by an experienced technical team, including a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), allowing you to focus on patient care, practice efficiently, and enjoy your career without feeling rushed. We believe the right support structure enables veterinarians to provide better medicine while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Our doctors work together, support one another, and enjoy practicing medicine as a team. Whether you're discussing a challenging case or simply looking for another perspective, you'll find experienced colleagues who are approachable and collaborative.
Practice Highlights
• Established small animal practice with a loyal and growing client base
• Growing demand and strong community presence
• Collaborative team of experienced veterinarians
• Experienced technical team, including a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
• Skilled veterinary assistants and client service professionals
• Digital radiography, including dental radiography
• In-house laboratory capabilities
• Ultrasound access
• Flexible scheduling and four-day work week options

About the Role
We're seeking a veterinarian who is comfortable practicing comprehensive general medicine and performing routine soft-tissue surgery independently. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting client relationships while managing a diverse caseload that includes wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Additional interests and advanced skills in dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, ultrasound, internal medicine, or other areas of veterinary medicine are welcomed and supported.
This position is being added to meet growing client demand and provide greater access to care for our community. You'll step into a busy, established practice with the support needed to be successful from day one.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited program
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in Alabama
• Experience in companion animal general practice
• Comfortable performing routine surgical procedures independently
• Strong communication and client relationship building skills
• Commitment to high quality, patient centered medicine
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset

• Paid time off
• Paid continuing education days and annual CE allowance
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• HSA and FSA options
• 401(k) with company match
• Life insurance and wellness resources
• Licensure, DEA, and professional membership reimbursement
• Relocation assistance available
Life on Alabama's Eastern Shore
