Client Advisor

Marsh is seeking a Client Advisor to support strategic clients within our transportation practice. This role is part of Marsh's US Affinity organization and will support our continued growth across a broad commercial client base, including delivery and logistics providers, transportation-related businesses, marketplace operators, and emerging segments.

The successful candidate will bring insurance and client management experience, along with transportation industry insight, to help drive client growth, improve risk outcomes, and strengthen trusted relationships. This role requires executive presence, strong program management skills, the ability to work independently, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in support of Marsh's highest-priority strategic initiatives.

If you are seeking an opportunity to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team committed to helping clients navigate risk and realize what is possible, we encourage you to apply.

This is a hybrid role that requires working in the office for three days per week.

We will count on you to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Affinity clients and help ensure insurance programs deliver value through risk mitigation, operational resilience, and business impact.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and manage escalated issues promptly to support retention and satisfaction.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial risks and products, including auto and fleet liability, general liability, workers' compensation, property/real estate, inland marine/cargo, management liability, and other coverages as appropriate, to support client strategy and program design.
  • Lead end-to-end program and project execution for assigned accounts and initiatives, including scoping requirements, building project plans and timelines, coordinating cross-functional deliverables, managing risks and issues, and ensuring high-quality implementation and renewal.
  • Work closely with sales, servicing, compliance, legal, marketing, placement, claims, technology, and other teams to meet revenue and client service goals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client needs, market dynamics, and competitive trends within the transportation segment.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to refine client strategies and deliver solutions that respond to changing customer needs and business objectives.
  • Measure client success using disciplined, business-focused metrics and ongoing performance tracking.
  • Apply a systems-thinking approach to connect client needs, operational processes, technology, service delivery, and risk solutions across the broader business.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Insurance industry experience required, i.e., underwriting, brokerage, commercial lines, product management, or client management.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing client relationships, preferably in transportation or commercial insurance.
  • Strong project management and program execution skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams while adapting quickly to changing scope, priorities, and business needs.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect operational, client, and business considerations into practical solutions.
  • Ability to support strategic initiatives with minimal supervision and strong accountability.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
