Do you want to use your experience from public accounting in a new way?

We're looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our outsourced clientaccounting practice. In this role, you will work in a cloud-based environmentand serve as an Accounting Manager for multiple clients across the country, working with a team ofprofessionals.

This position is responsible for providing our client organizations with best-in-class service and financial expertise. This position is accountable for the accounting operations of their clients' company, to include the preparation of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhancing the accuracy and relevancy of reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with the appropriate accounting framework. Additionally, the Senior Manager acts as a business advisor by providing analysis and insights to their clients based on their knowledge of current business trends, industry experience and capabilities of other experts within Baker Tilly.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior relationship leader and trusted advisor for an assigned portfolio of Managed Services clients.

  • Provides leadership across accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, technology, process improvement, and financial management

  • Accountable for client satisfaction and retention, engagement economics, team performance, service quality, and the continued growth and scalability of the Managed Services practice

  • Oversee and provide exceptional service to clients including developing trusted relationships with executive leaders, boards, finance committees and other key leaders.

  • Review financial statements and reporting packages for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and meaningful presentation.

  • Manage production of monthly, quarterly, and financial reports

  • Work with other managers to ensure workflows are efficient and streamlined in and between offices and in and between audit and tax functions

  • Coach, train, and mentor staff on client service, NFP industry best practices and accounting matters

  • Oversight and management of current client engagement team

  • Lead or sponsor initiatives that improve close cycles, reporting, workflows, controls, and overall service delivery.

  • Provide leadership by promoting teamwork, developing proper training and mentoring, and managing workflows

  • Promote effective use of accounting platforms (Sage Intacct), workflow tools, reporting technologies, and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred

  • Public accounting or BPO firm experience required

  • Eight (8) plus years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting functions required, experience in professional services/consulting preferred

  • Experience supporting complex not for profit clients is required

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations to compile financial records

  • Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience in Sage Intacct required, QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience a plus

  • Experience in interfacing Sage Intacct with 3rd party applications such as Ramp, Bill, etc.

The pay rate range for this job position is $63,300 to $220,830. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
