This is where YOU fit in: The Navy Inn is in need of Guest Service Representatives to answer the call; a natural team player who will know when to utilize discretion relative to confidentiality, operational security, and other job duties that will ensure critical operational success on a day-to-day basis. You will serve as the first contact for the guests at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites. You will handle all stages of the guests' stay, making an impact across our Navy Lodging Locations. Your support is critical to initiatives across Military Bases that advance how our companies serve the best customer - our Military patrons and their families. So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?
• Welcome guests and answering any questions concerning the lodging facility, amenities and provide information about local attractions.
• Assist with requests from guests in person or over the phone. This can include but not limited to, making reservations, confirming or cancelling room reservations, check-in/check-out process, guest room assignments and processing payments.
• Operate a multi-line telephone system, records and deliver messages as required.
• Responsible for inventory of all keys and other supplies maintained at the front desk. Responsible for assigned master key. Properly log in and out using key log for record.
• Keep the front desk and lobby area clean.
• Utilize Property Management System (PMS) to log trouble calls and ensure the appropriate department is notified. Relocate guests to a different room, when required. May be required to generate and print various reports from PMS.
The Qualifiers:
• One year of general office clerical experience and one year of specialized progressive responsible experience related to the position.
• Knowledge of computer systems.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

One 1 year of general office clerical experience that demonstrated the ability to perform clerical duties satisfactorily.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
One 1 year progressively responsible experience related to the position to be filled.
OR
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
One 1 year of general office clerical experience that demonstrated the ability to perform clerical duties satisfactorily.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE One 1 year progressively responsible experience related to the position to be filled.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
