00 POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the monitoring of the security station equipment. This is a part time, per diem position. Hours worked may not exceed 1,000 per year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitors the x-ray machine while packages, briefcases, purses, etc. are checked. If there is a problem, will alert Security Officer.
  • Monitors the walk-thru metal detectors as person walks through.
  • When necessary, will use handheld wand to further search a person.
  • Could be required to monitor a door camera system.
  • Assists visitors with questions and directs them to specific offices.
  • Reports unusual, questionable or suspicious activities to a supervisor.
  • Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to work various shifts as assigned by a supervisor.
  • As required, performs similar or related duties and a variety of services.
