DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides clerical support that keeps permitting and program activities accurate, organized, and timely within the Oil and Gas Program. You will assist with reviews, data entry, file management, and communication tasks across several program systems. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Permit Review: Complete administrative checks on applications and contact operators when information is missing
  • Document Processing: Handle well records, reports, notices, and program paperwork through copying, data entry, emailing, and uploading
  • File Management: Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems using OnBase and RMS
  • Public Assistance: Provide information to companies and residents regarding permitting and program details
  • System Navigation: Use program tools such as eWell, eFacts, eSubmission, ePermit, OnBase, and RMS
  • Mail and Phones: Sort mail, answer calls, and route requests to appropriate staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Meadville, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
