Job description

Our client is hiring an Associate to join their team, in NY! The Direct Lending Operations team supports all middle-office functions of our Private Credit business including but not limited to deal closings, portfolio management support, portfolio transactions/ trade settlement & execution, investors services, capital calls/distributions, reporting, payments and reconciliation. This is a hybrid position requring 3-4 days in office.

  • Close deals and manage execution processes.
  • Draft assignments and coordinate with counterparties and agents to ensure timely settlement.
  • Escalate and resolve any positional or payment discrepancies daily.
  • Collaborate with third-party administrators and custodians to maintain accurate portfolio data and reconcile payments.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting for commingled funds, BDCs, SMAs, and CLOs.
  • Support various internal teams with ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Drive improvements to enhance operational efficiency across all functions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in loan or credit operations.
  • Experience in buyside private credit or direct lending operations is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of loan products and familiarity with IVP, Clearpar, Black Mountain Everest, Nexen, and CorPro is a plus.
  • Experience with leveraged facility borrowing and/or CLO compliance and administration is advantageous.
