Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts and
evaluate current industry standard testing analysis techniques and best practices. Solve a wide range of
difficult problems pertaining to system testing and quality assurance processes in imaginative and
practical ways.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops Test Plans, Scenarios, Cases and Scripts.
  • Executes Test Scenarios, Cases and Scripts.
  • Applies industry standard testing techniques.
  • Applies internal processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrates understanding of insurance concepts.
  • Demonstrates understanding of technical requirements.
  • Validates and analyzes expected and unexpected results.
  • Ensures proper documentation of defects and resolutions.
  • Directs work of others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, mathematics, business, or related field, or four years of relevant experience in the software testing field.

OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position is physically comfortable and has discretion about walking, standing, sitting, etc.
  • No adverse working or environmental conditions expected.
  • Essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting and temperature.

We are open to considering candidates with a range of experience levels; the final level will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and business needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned to the level at which the candidate is hired.


This is a 100% in-office position. The role requires consistent on-site presence to support collaboration, real-time decision-making, and effective partnership with cross-functional teams.


The salary range provided reflects targeted hiring locations and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary for candidates in other locations based on geographic differentials, cost of labor, and internal equity considerations.

  • Albany Pay Range: $64,872 - $81,600
