Job DescriptionSummary/objective

The Non-Ferrous Laborer is responsible for supporting the Non-Ferrous Sorter in sorting and processing non-ferrous materials, including aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel.

Essential functions

  • Assist the NonFerrous Sorter in sorting and processing nonferrous materials.
  • Prepare materials for sale by segregating and cleaning
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials
  • Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
