  • Welcome guests, take orders, answer questions, and recommend cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • Prepare and serve beverages accurately and efficiently according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls.
  • Enter orders and process cash, credit-card, room-charge, and gratuity transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Verify identification, monitor alcohol consumption, recognize signs of intoxication, and follow all responsible-beverage-service requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, ingredients, allergens, menu items, promotions, and daily specials.
  • Set up and stock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, and supplies; monitor inventory and communicate shortages.
  • Prepare garnishes, mixers, juices, and other ingredients needed for service.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized bar, including bar tops, service wells, equipment, glassware, coolers, storage areas, floors, and mats.
  • Complete all opening, ongoing, and closing side work, including restocking, cleaning, removing trash and recycling, securing products, and preparing the bar for the next shift.
  • Accurately document spills, waste, complimentary items, voids, and product transfers.
  • Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, bussers, culinary and banquet team members, and managers to provide timely, seamless service.
  • Assist with Food & Beverage and banquet setup, service, breakdown, restocking, and cleanup as business needs require.
  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, liquor, cash-handling, safety, security, and company procedures.
What You Bring
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least one year of related bartending education, training, and/or experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, bar equipment, liquor laws, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system and accurately process guest payments.
  • Strong guest-service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to remain composed, attentive, and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment associated with bar service.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and property events based on business needs.
  • A valid Riverside County Food Handler Certificate and California Responsible Beverage Service certification are required. If not currently certified, the company will cover the certification fees and provide paid time to complete the training.
