About the Role: Substitute Teacher (Floater)

As a Substitute Teacher, you'll have the unique opportunity to work across all of our locations, supporting classrooms for infants through school-age children. You'll step in to provide hands-on learning experiences, maintain a nurturing environment, and ensure continuity of care and education in the absence of regular staff.


Your Responsibilities

  • Provide care and supervision for children in various classrooms, adapting to their developmental needs and interests.
  • Implement planned curriculum and activities, maintaining alignment with our E.P.I.C. Curriculum and center goals.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children.
  • Support transitions and daily routines, ensuring children feel secure and valued.
  • Collaborate with staff and families to build positive relationships and open communication.
  • Step into various roles, including assisting or leading classrooms, based on daily needs.
  • Follow all state regulations, center policies, and best practices.


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum state-required coursework in Early Childhood Education (or ability to complete within 6 months).
  • Experience in an early childhood education setting preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel and work in multiple locations within Milwaukee County.
  • Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Positive, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children.
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
  • Clear background check, health screening, and TB test.
