Job Summary:
The Cleaner/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors at Turnbridge Woodbury Adolescent Facility. This role ensures that all areas of the facility, including common areas, offices, client rooms, and restrooms, are cleaned regularly and thoroughly according to the center's standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and disinfect common areas, restrooms, client rooms, offices, and other designated spaces, including floors, furniture, windows, and surfaces.
  • Waste Management: Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with facility procedures. Ensure proper waste separation and disposal.
  • Linen and Laundry Service: Collect, clean, and distribute linens, towels, and bedding as needed. Ensure proper handling and storage of laundry in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Stocking Supplies: Replenish supplies in restrooms, client rooms, and common areas, including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning products.
  • Infection Control: Follow established protocols for infection control, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment, to reduce the risk of illness and contamination.
  • Reporting Maintenance Issues: Report any maintenance or repair needs (e.g., damaged furniture, plumbing issues, malfunctioning equipment) to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
  • Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of cleaning products. Follow protocols for handling biohazardous materials as needed.
  • Client Support: Respect the privacy and dignity of clients while cleaning their rooms or shared spaces. Communicate in a courteous and professional manner with clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Special Cleaning Projects: Assist with deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or seasonal projects as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
