Job description

Role type: full-time, fully remote

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 9 AMโ€“5 PM U.S. Central Time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience. Discussed during screening.

About the Client

An award-winning digital marketing agency based in Austin, Texas, specializing in home services and healthcare industries, including HVAC, plumbing, roofing, dental practices, LASIK centers, and medical clinics. The company is focused on delivering measurable results, prioritizing revenue and lead generation over vanity metrics. Its SEO approach is comprehensive, covering technical, on-page, off-page, local, and content strategies, all tailored to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all methodology.

What You Will Do
  • Run full SEO audits for client websites โ€” find problems, build solutions, track results
  • Do keyword research and build content strategies based on search intent, competition, and SERP behavior
  • Implement on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and content optimization
  • Handle technical SEO: site speed, schema markup, structured data, XML sitemaps, 301 redirects, crawl errors, and indexing issues
  • Build and manage local SEO strategies: Google Business Profile optimization, citation management, NAP consistency, and location pages
  • Execute link-building campaigns: outreach, link auditing, and building high-quality backlinks
  • Write or optimize SEO content: blog posts, landing pages, and service pages that rank and convert
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to improve SEO workflows โ€” from content ideation to keyword clustering to technical audits
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, or Ahrefs
  • Deliver clear performance reports to account managers and participate in client communication when needed
  • Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, AI search trends, and emerging SEO tools and methods
  • Optimize for AI and LLM visibility (ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) as part of evolving search strategy
What You Need
  • 5+ years of handsโ€‘on SEO experience with proven results (traffic growth, ranking improvements, lead generation)
  • Technical SEO: site speed, schema, crawl audits, indexing, URL structure. You know your way around Screaming Frog.
  • On-page SEO: keyword optimization, content structure, meta tags, internal linking. Second nature to you.
  • Local SEO: Google Business Profile, citations, location pages, map pack rankings. This is critical for our clients.
  • Link building: experience with outreach, link auditing, and building quality backlinks that actually move rankings
  • SEO tools: Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console. You use these daily.
  • AI-powered SEO: you actively use AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar to speed up keyword research, content optimization, and technical audits
  • Content optimization: you can write or improve SEO content that ranks. Blog posts, service pages, landing pages.
  • HTML/CSS basics: enough to make on-page changes, troubleshoot code issues, and work with developers
  • Analytical thinking: you make decisions based on data, not guesses. You can read reports and spot opportunities.
  • Good English communication: you can write clearly, explain your strategy, and present results to the team
Nice to Have
  • Agency experience (managing multiple client accounts at once)
  • Experience in Home Services or Healthcare SEO
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, or WordPress development
  • Experience with heatmap tools (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity) for user behavior analysis
  • CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) experience
  • Experience optimizing for AI/LLM search platforms (Perplexity, SearchGPT, etc.)
90-Day Success Plan

Here is what we expect in your first 3 months:

Schedule & Pay
  • Hours: Mondayโ€“Friday, 9 AMโ€“5 PM U.S. Central Time. This is required.
  • Pay: Competitive, based on experience. Discussed during screening.
  • Time Off: 2 weeks paid time off + paid U.S. holidays
  • Tools: Slack, Loom, Google Meet
  • Equipment: You provide your own computer and internet
  • Type: Contract or full-time, depending on your location
  • Client Relationship: You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any clientโ€‘related matters independently.
  • Payments: All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
  • Vacation Leaves and Holidays: While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the clientโ€™s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
Application Process
  • In place of a traditional initial interview, youโ€™ll be asked to record your responses to the initial interview questions through a Loom video (questions & instructions are in the application page).
  • Our team will carefully review your submission, and if shortlisted, weโ€™ll share your responses with the client for their review and next steps.
  • Please treat this recording as you would a real interview:
    • Come prepared and make sure youโ€™re clearly visible on camera.
    • Record your answers in a quiet, well-lit, and clutterโ€‘free space with a stable internet connection.
    • Weโ€™re excited to get to know you better! Show us your personality and strengths. We encourage you to answer authentically and in your own words, without reading from a script or using AI tools.
  • Once the initial screening is cleared, our team will send you a link for the clientโ€‘required written assessment via Test Gorilla. Only candidates who successfully pass both the initial screening and written assessment will be scheduled for a client interview.
