JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Marketing is a key leader within the Global Marketing Team. This role is responsible for shaping and influencing innovative marketing strategies that elevate brand positioning, drive global awareness, and drive leads and revenue to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. The Senior Director, will ensure all marketing initiatives embody the brand's values and deliver a cohesive, aspirational narrative across channels. As the steward of brand culture, this leader ensures every initiative reflects the essence of The Ritz-Carlton-delivering distinctive experiences and storytelling that resonate with discerning audiences.
This role partners closely with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection CMO and other key leaders on their leadership team to develop strategies that grow the business and enhance the guest experience. This role also partners with internal Marriott teams within Data & Analyics, Sales, and others to grow the yacht business by leading initiatives such as the Clean Room project, Land & Sea Operations Programing, and developing marketing and experiential partnerships.
Acting as a brand ambassador, the Senior Director aligns marketing efforts with the overarching vision and business objectives of the master Ritz-Carlton Brand, ensuring consistency and excellence across all touchpoints.To support these efforts, the Senior Director will focus on these priorities 1) support the strategic direction and execution of the brand marking strategy and multi-year planning efforts 2) direct the execution of the brand marekging priorities by cross-functional resources, and 3) drive brand performance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required:
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major
  • 10+ years' relevant experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
  • Relevant marketing and brand experience

Experience Preferred:
  • 5+ years of experience in the luxury category, preferred.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Brand Marketing Strategy & Multi-Year Planning
  • Takes a leadership role in the development of a compelling and differentiated brand and marketing strategy, leveraging the brands' consumer, competitive, and other stakeholder profiles and needs. Oversees brand implantation via The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's Marketing Strategy.
  • Guides the Brand Extension's Positioning, manages the Brand's Visual Identity, develops communication tools and templates to ensure consistent execution by broader organization and hotels.
  • Partners with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's team to optimize Global Brand Marketing and Messaging Strategy with a top funnel and lower funnel focus.
  • Manages MI owned channels to merchandise the yacht including Marriott.com, the Bonvoy App, and Marriott Bonvoy Emails.
  • Establish relationships with key Marriott International Yacht leaders supporting the yacht business (Development, Operations, GSO, Design, and HR)
  • Champion The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to pull-throug brand marketing initiatives with the development of Activation Toolkits (PR, Social, Experiential, Digital, etc.)
  • Deeply understands the target audience and its nuances as relates to cruise and High-Net-Worth marketing to develop strategies that grow The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection business. Conducts a regular pulse-check on the consumer and uses insights to inform presentation materials and go-to-market strategies.
  • Oversees the creation of strategic brand business plan, inclusive of a viable economic strategy, product and service model, brand positioning, value proposition definition, competitive strategies (for product, service, talent & culture, growth, demand generation)
  • Informs business strategies, plans and initiatives with relevant luxury, industry, and market data.
  • Actively participates in the development of a compelling and differentiated brand and marketing strategy, leveraging the brands' consumer, competitive, and other stakeholder profiles and needs.
  • Support the creation of strategic brand business plans for the brands, inclusive of a viable economic strategy, product and service model, brand positioning, value proposition definition, competitive strategies (for product, service, talent & culture, marketing, growth, demand generation, partnerships).
  • Work with Director of Parnerships to create strategy for partnerships and development of all partners for the brand.
  • Identify and executes new initiatives, marketing strategies, partnerships, and projects for the brand.
Strategy Execution
  • Act as an ambassador representing the brands in a variety of forums with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead a Clean Room Initiative designed to find and nurture audiences within Marriott Internaional to grow The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection via monthly emails, targeted direct mail, and paid media plans. Oversee and manage email program, creative for direct mail, and advise on implementation of paid media plans designed to drive high ROI.
  • Support The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection launch of new itineraries,
  • Partner with internal insights team to identity audiences with propensity to book luxury cruise and devises marketing plans to drive revenue and track leads to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
  • Set the direction for initiatives that improve brand performance and partners with broader yacht collection team to implement these activities.
  • Partner with Marriott Digital to support the growth of The Ritz-Carlton Yacth Collection while services as brand steward and guiding strategies that ladder up to brand positioning. Provide guidance and insights to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection while they undergo Digital Transformation.
  • Share the brand vision for marketing and collaborates with VP of Luxury Marketing, Partnerships, and content marketing teams.
  • Act as a liaison and resource for the global design team to execute specific, differentiated brand design foundations and supporting design standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with development to ensure on-strategy growth and future product for the brand.
  • Provide guidance to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Marketing Team on ways to market the business while remaining true to brand and positioning.
Business Model & Brand Performance
  • Act as brand champion to stakeholders - owners, consumers, guests, executives and employees within HQ and partners with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection when briefing the marketplace.
  • Build strong relationships with MI yacht teams (HR, Development, Operations, GSO, etc) as well as external teams at RCYC driving pull-through of the brand promise.
  • Educate and communicates on brand strategy, framework, positioning, voice and strategic pillars, brand standards and competitive environment,
  • Help develop and drive execution of communication strategies associated with launching tactics/deliverables in support of the brand strategies and stated performance goals.
  • Define brand performance metrics and recommend performance targets marketing initiatives designed to support awareness, lead generation, conversion, loyalty engagement, and stated business goals.
  • Partner with analytics, digital, CRM, and performance marketing teams to define and monitor brand performance metrics, campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and return on marketing investment.
