Job description

Position Title: CLC Academic Coordinator

Reports to: CLC Manager
Employment Classification: 10 month hourly, Non-Exempt, Part Time
Role Summary
Responsible for membership, registration record keeping, fee collection, and reporting results to Community Learning Center (CLC) Manager. Assists in the collection and develops the compilation of data related to program and operations. Responsible for clerical duties which include answering phones, greeting guests, filing, and providing quality customer service. Responsible for maintaining a welcoming, safe, and secure club site.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicates the philosophy, objectives standards, and programs of the CLC through all methods available, to members, their parents, and the general public.
  • Complete membership registration process, including collection of enrollment documents and required school forms.
  • Fully utilize and manage the CLCโ€™s use of the data management system for tracking members, issuing membership cards and quest passes to visitors, producing member reports, and other items as needed.
  • Work with CLC manager and administrative coordinator to deliver and implement timely site reports.
  • Perform monthly internal audits to ensure accuracy of membership information and program data.
  • Perform clerical duties as directed by CLC Manager.
  • Works cooperatively with all staff to obtain data information and other items as needed
  • Enforce the compliance of all rules and regulations among visitors and members.
  • Maintains supply of purchase requisitions and request forms to staff; keeps ledger of staff expenditures.
  • Maintain radio contact with security team, club manager, or lead staff
  • Maintain a good knowledge of all activities within the building and answers questions that may be directed to him/her with reference to the policies of SCS.
  • Must participate in required trainings by SCS, County, State, and/or funders.

Qualifications:


Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Prefer at least one year of secondary education.

Experience Requirements:

  • Two yearsโ€™ experience with data systems and a high level of computer knowledge.
  • Two years of customer service and clerical experience.


Skills:

  • Extensive computer knowledge with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organization and prioritization skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and relate to youth.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing proficiency.
  • High degree of attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present ideas and information.

Physical Demands: This position requires physical skills that will allow the employee to work in a typical office setting, such as standing, sitting, talking and listening on the phone, and moving between offices and buildings. The ability to drive a car and travel between schools is essential. The employee must occasionally lift and move boxes and supplies up to 20 pounds.
