Job description

Nurse Midwife
Employment Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $61 - $64 hourly
Location: West LA Clinic, Lynwood Clinic, and traveling Mobile Medical Unit across Los Angeles County

Are you ready to step into a role where your skills meet purpose-and every day brings new ways to impact lives?
At Claris Health, we're searching for a passionate and adaptable Mid-Level Medical Provider to join our care team. Whether in one of our clinics or on our mobile medical unit, your ability to meet people where they are - clinically and emotionally - can transform the way someone experiences healthcare.

This isn't a role for someone looking for routine. We're looking for a provider who thrives on flexibility, values patient dignity, and brings strong OB/GYN experience or the desire to grow in this field. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role
As a Mid-Level Medical Provider, you'll be an integral part of our patient care model, providing OB/GYN services across clinic sites and our mobile unit. You'll conduct well-woman exams, prenatal care, STI testing and treatment, and patient education. You'll also collaborate with our Clinic Director, supervise medical volunteers, and support medical assistants.

This role requires adaptability, empathy, and a deep commitment to caring for underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pregnancy tests, female health screenings, and STI testing and treatment
  • Provide early prenatal care and lead Centering groups (if certified)
  • Educate patients on contraception, pregnancy loss, healthy pregnancy, and nutrition
  • Perform and/or learn limited obstetric ultrasound
  • Rotate across clinics and mobile units, with occasional weekend outreach events

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Midwife in California
  • Minimum two years of OB/GYN experience preferred
  • OB Ultrasound training is preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate.
  • Experience working in mobile or community-based care settings is a plus
  • Comfortable traveling across sites and stepping in wherever there's a need
  • Committed to excellent bedside manner and respectful patient care
  • Adaptable and collaborative - you don't shy away from change
  • Excited to contribute to a mission-focused, team-centered environment

What You'll Gain

  • Support from a compassionate, mission-driven team
  • A leadership team that listens, empowers, and values your voice
  • Continued growth through training in OB ultrasound and prenatal care modules
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, parental leave, and mental health support
  • A workplace where flexibility, family, and faith are more than just words - they're culture

What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, you'll confidently provide care across multiple sites, build rapport with staff and patients, and begin OB training if needed. Over time, you'll help create clinic coverage that ensures no patient is turned away and no team member feels alone. Your impact will be felt in the quality of care you give-and the compassion you bring to every encounter.
