The District Manager is responsible for the overall satisfaction of the customer experience, the overall operational and technical functions with assigned office(s) with up to 50 full-time associates (subject to change), possibly including an office that has a Branch Manager or Supervisor resident. The role ensures compliance with company best practice standards, consistent delivery of CorVel’s quality services, staffing and training needs of the office(s), profit margins, long-term growth and annual budget preparation. The District Manager is responsible for ensuring operations are within service level agreements. This position will hold regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports, and ensure managers also conduct regular 1:1s with their employees. The District Manager is ultimately responsible for district work product and employee performance, including hiring, development, discipline and terminations. This is a hybrid role. Candidate residing in the Atlanta metro area is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall operational performance of assigned office(s)/locations, including recruiting, hiring, associate performance, quality of service, customer satisfaction and results
  • Set branch objectives; establish policies and procedures to assure compliance with best practices, state regulations and client service requirements
  • Ultimate responsibility for District performance: understand all positions within the District and lead District employees to achieve performance goals
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered to all clients; conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports
  • Set District objectives; establish policies and procedures to assure compliance with best practices, state regulations and client service requirements
  • Monitor and improve efficiency of office operations
  • Accounts Receivable – responsible for all aspects of collections in conjunction with the respective operations management
  • Assist with sales calls and service expansion on potential and existing customers
  • Responsible for management and dashboard reports
  • Evaluate and recommend continuing professional education of office personnel
  • Ensure adherence to company policies
  • Lead by example – provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance and protect operations by keeping sensitive information confidential
  • Function as an exemplary local corporate neighbor/partner
  • Requires regular and consistent attendance
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
  • Must be able to travel overnight to attend meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is preferred
  • At least 4 years of prior, related experience required; demonstrated progressive leadership preferred

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process considering experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

In general, opportunities will be posted for up to 1 year from date of posting, or until we have selected candidate(s) to fulfill the opening, whichever comes first.
