Property and Casualty Claims Manager - Insurance - Base Salary to 110k/year - Dover, DE

  • Our client, an established independent insurance agency, is seeking a Property and Casualty Claims Manager in Dover, DE. This position will manage commercial P&C claims from initial reporting through resolution, serving as the primary client contact and coordinating with insurance carriers, adjusters, claims departments, and underwriting teams. The Property and Casualty Claims Manager will provide claims advocacy, monitor claim activity, address escalations, and maintain accurate claims documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the property and casualty claims process
  • Manage commercial P&C claims from intake and reporting through investigation, monitoring, escalation, and resolution
  • Evaluate claims based on complexity, urgency, coverage considerations, and required level of support
  • Identify potential claim issues and coordinate with carriers and adjusters to address delays, coverage questions, or unfavorable developments
  • Advocate for clients while communicating with carrier claims representatives, adjusters, claims management, and underwriting teams
  • Track claim status, follow-up activity, documentation, and resolution details
  • Maintain accurate claim files, records, loss information, and related documentation
  • Compile claims data and assist with loss analysis, claims reporting, and process improvements
  • Coordinate with internal account management and service teams regarding claim activity and client updates

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience managing Property and Casualty (P&C) claims within an independent insurance agency or brokerage
  • Experience handling commercial lines insurance claims from initial reporting through resolution
  • Experience communicating with clients, insurance carriers, adjusters, claims departments, and underwriting teams
  • Experience with claims intake, claims documentation, claims tracking, coverage review, loss analysis, and claims resolution
  • Ability to commute to Dover, DE

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 90k - 110k/year range
