Claims Associate (NJ/GA/NY)

About the Role

American Global has an exciting opportunity to join our growing claims department as a Claims Associate. This role is designed for an individual who will begin as a Claims administrator, supporting the day-to-day administration, reporting, and analysis of claims.

We are seeking someone with experience working with claims data and analytics who can help identify trends, reconcile claim information, and support meaningful reporting for clients and internal teams.

Over time, through structured training, mentoring, and hands-on experience, this position is expected to progress into a claims handling role focused on General Liability and Automobile claims while continuing to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients.

This role can be located in:

  • Whippany, NJ

  • Atlanta (Brookhaven/Dunwoody), GA

  • Jericho (Long Island), NY

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Support day-to-day claims administration, including new loss reporting, claim system updates, documentation, filing, and follow-up with carriers and adjusters.

  • Maintain accurate internal claims records, account assignments, claim review schedules, carrier reporting instructions, and client claim kits.

  • Reconcile claim information between internal systems and carrier loss runs, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

  • Analyze claims data and loss trends to identify patterns, support client discussions, and develop meaningful reports and actionable insights.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, third-party administrators, adjusters, and internal partners while delivering a high level of customer service.

  • Participate in client stewardship meetings, carrier claim reviews, capabilities presentations, and investigative research as appropriate.

  • Complete structured claims training, mentoring, and professional development with the goal of progressing into direct claims handling responsibilities.

  • As experience develops, assist with and ultimately handle General Liability and Automobile claims, including coverage review, investigation, evaluation, documentation, communication, and resolution under appropriate supervision.

  • Maintain required insurance licensing and continuing education requirements.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
