The main purpose of the Warehouse/Driver Associate II role is to safely and efficiently transport various goods to customers, while adhering to all driving regulations set by the DOT as well as Johnstone Supply company policies. This role ensures timely deliveries and supports the overall success of business operations, while serving as the face of Johnstone and providing excellent service to all customers.


WORK SCHEDULE -


Monday - Friday, 20 to 40 hours per week (hours shift as needed) between the business hours of 7am - 5pm.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Delivers orders to customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Receives in daily rush orders and weekly Corp and Tigard orders.
  • Checks stage on orders.
  • Puts away stock in warehouse and pull will-call orders for customer pick up.
  • Maintains bin locations.
  • Processes ship-outs that need to go from the branch.
  • Processes all warranty and returns and verify that paperwork has been neatly and properly filled out.
  • Prepares warranty and returns for ship out to Tigard branch and/or vendor direct.
  • Orders and returns compressed gas tanks as needed.
  • Cleans and straightens the warehouse daily.
  • Works well as a team player.
  • Follows all Company Policies/Store Standards.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • May be required to cross state lines for deliveries.
  • Assist with counter/phone sales and calling customers to inform them of any backorders that are ready for pick up on an as-needed basis.
  • Recycle cardboard and empty branch garbage twice a week.
  • Fill freight claims when necessary.
  • Assist with stocking showroom.
  • Attend ongoing training classes.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Past experience would include shipping/receiving, and material handling. HVAC/R experience along with customer service and/or sales preferred.


B. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


Skill and ability to type 30-50 wpm, operate a computer, use 10 keys or calculator, organized and prioritize work, meet deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple tasks and able to operate office equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills along with good listening skills. Forklift.
