Job description

Nightwing is seeking a highly motivated member to join very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility. The individual will join a small team to support and care for program buildings. The Technician will be required to work independently, and as part of a team, on a wide variety of tasks and is expected to assess circumstances and conditions, determine appropriate technical solutions.
Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with POLYGRAPH
Job Duties:
Performs a wide variety of tasks related to facilities janitorial and cleaning services:
  • Provides cleaning and operational services for several buildings. This includes flooring care, furniture and fixtures, trash bins and collection, restrooms, and pantry care;

  • Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. Follow directions for chemical cleaners and power equipment use to prevent damage;

  • Use hand trucks or other manual methods to transport heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies;

  • Able to use power equipment to buff and clean floors, tile, and grout;

  • Maintain supply storage closets in an organized and safe manner. Maintain equipment in a safe and operable condition;

  • Performs standard service functions associated with facility moves and relocations;

  • Assist the facilities construction team with installation, improvement, maintenance, and repair operations as required. Inspects finished work for quality and to ensure all work is accomplished in accordance with safety practices, procedures, codes and specifications
  • Support Facilities required inventory and quick reaction procurements

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Six (6) years' experience performing general commercial building cleaning and maintenance;

  • Demonstrated experience to use hand and general maintenance tools and equipment for cleaning or landscaping solutions and detergents;

  • Ability to communicate across a wide audience of facility tenants;

  • Work as part of a team and individually to complete multiple and competing tasks along with daily maintenance requirements;

  • Must be able and willing to lift 25 lbs.

  • Must possess valid state driver's license

  • Willingness to support requirements that may be ad hoc and beyond the immediate job duties above;

  • Prior experience with power tools and general equipment, safety codes, and safety
