YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

As a Civil Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing the full lifecycle of the civil scope on medium to large-scale EPC projects, from pre-construction and design through construction and project closeout. This includes site work, grading, roads, stormwater management, and foundation work. You will lead the coordination of civil contractors, ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements, and support the overall project goals in terms of safety, schedule, quality, and cost.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Lead and manage the civil scope of EPC projects, from pre-construction planning and design through execution and closeout. Coordinate with design partners to develop constructible civil designs, incorporating geotechnical, hydrological, and environmental studies. Direct and oversee the work of civil subcontractors for all civil infrastructure including:

  • Mass grading and site balancing
  • Access roads and laydown areas
  • Stormwater and drainage systems
  • Off-site improvements
  • Foundations (piers, slabs, concrete pads)

Review and validate geotechnical reports and integrate findings into design and construction plans.

Develop and manage the project's site logistics plan including civil access, compound layout, and traffic flow.

Coordinate permitting requirements for civil scope, including SWPPP, SPCC, dust control, grading permits, and encroachment agreements.

Work closely with the Project Engineer and Superintendent to sequence civil activities and support schedule integration with structural, electrical, and mechanical scopes.

Lead constructability reviews and identify value engineering (VE) opportunities during the design phase.

Conduct regular field inspections to ensure civil work conforms to design specifications, contract documents, safety, and environmental standards. Manage all civil-related RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications.

Maintain civil budget and proactively manage change orders, risk items, and scope adjustments.

Support coordination of utilities, fencing, and site services during construction.

Collaborate with project controls for reporting on cost, schedule, and productivity specific to the civil scope.

Participate in progress meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Oversee testing and inspection processes for civil work including compaction, concrete strength, and slope stabilization.

Ensure smooth civil project closeout, including punch list resolution, as-built documentation, and turnover to owner.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy civil construction project management, preferably on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Deep knowledge of earthwork, drainage systems, access road design, and utility trenching.

Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field personnel across multiple disciplines.

Strong technical understanding of civil engineering and construction principles.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.

Proficient in project management and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.).

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging work environment.

TRAVEL:

Up to 100%

Travel to Remote site, away from Urban Centers, Commutes may be more than 1 hour in each direction without traffic.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.

Work is conducted in remote locations primarily indoor construction trailers with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

Noise level is typically low to medium.

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
