Job description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Staff Radiographer is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographs. Administers contrast media related to particular diagnostic procedures. Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures including sterile procedures. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
  1. Performs radiographic exams utilizing scope of practice for medical imaging as defined by ARRT and ASRT and in compliance with Ohio Department of Health rules.
  2. Assures patient safety.
  3. Provides patient transportation.
  4. Assures patient documentation and patient care.
  5. Performs clerical duties.
  6. Participates in the educational process of the students of the School of Radiologic Technology.
  7. 75% attendance at department meetings.
  8. Administers contrast media related to particular diagnostic procedures.
  9. Maintains compliance in RQI.
  10. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
  • Current radiologic licensure from the State of Ohio Department of Health or if working in WV will need WV license and ARRT registered required.
  • BLS certification required.

Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
  • Interpersonal and basic clerical skills and ability to follow instructions

Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
