Job Brief:ย  Compensation Analyst

The Compensation Analyst supports the clinician compensation team by assisting with collection, organization and review of data related to pay-for-performance programs, incentive plans, and incentive surveys.ย  This role focuses on maintaining accurate information, preparing routine reports, and following established processes to support compensation activities. Works under guidance in preparing data files for incentive calculations and survey participation, performing basic ad hoc analyses, and supporting efforts to improve the efficiency and consistency of data compilation workflows. Responds to routine questions from physicians and leadership regarding P4P timelines, workflows, and data sources. Responds to basic questions about compensation processes and timelines and partners with team members to support data needs. This role also assists with other compensation-related tasks and projects as needed and is designed for someone early in their career who is interested in developing skills in data, reporting, and healthcare compensation

What You Can Expect:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist in compiling, validating, and organizing data supporting physician and associate practitioner pay-for-performance (P4P), incentive, bonus, and stipend programs to ensure accurate calculations and reporting.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare and maintain routine reports related to clinician productivity, quality, service, and other performance measures used in compensation programs.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Run standard SQL queries and reporting tools with guidance to extract, manipulate, and validate data needed for compensation reporting and analysis.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support external salary survey submissions by gathering and formatting required compensation and productivity data.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist with routine compensation adjustments and incentive calculations by applying established methodologies and reviewing outputs for accuracy.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform basic analyses related to clinician compensation and individual performance data as requested.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Respond to routine inquiries from clinicians and leaders regarding compensation reports, P4P processes, timelines, and data sources.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Identify data discrepancies, escalate issues as appropriate, and support process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and data integrity.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain and update documentation and educational materials related to compensation processes and workflows.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with internal reporting teams, market consultants, and operational departments to obtain necessary data and meet submission deadlines.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support additional compensation-related projects and initiatives assigned to meet departmental and organizational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, sorting/filtering, data organization)

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Internship, part-time work, academic projects, or extracurricular involvement demonstrating responsibility, organization, or data related work.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and follow structured processes through academic or early work experiences

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Excellent in critical thinking, analytical, and excellent problem-solving skills.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience in managing multiple requests.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel Access, Microsoft SQL Server Mgt Studio, or similar database

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proficient facilitation, communication, and presentation skills

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience working with managers and clinicians

Preferred

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  4 years of related work experience (i.e., in a reporting and analytical environment, preferably in healthcare).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of SQL data manipulation

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of health care operations, including primary care, specialty, and ancillary services

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Business strategy, planning, operations, and health care experience preferred.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prior experience with clinician compensation, Pay for Performance (P4P), or incentive compensation plans
