We're a leading civil engineering firm in Arizona, consistently ranked among the top in the state. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions while fostering a professional and supportive work environment.
We're seeking a talented Municipal Project Manager to oversee and lead infrastructure and site development projects across municipal settings. You'll work with interdisciplinary teams, manage clients, ensure technical excellence, and drive projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, including potable water systems, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater facilities, roadways, site development, parks, and recreation infrastructure
  • Prepare engineering basis of design reports, feasibility studies, preliminary and final design documents (drawings, specifications, cost estimates)
  • Serve as the primary client contact: define scopes of work, negotiate contracts, present technical findings, and maintain clear, responsive communication
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans; track and report progress to ensure timely, on-budget delivery
  • Coordinate work with subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies; ensure compliance with codes, standards, and permitting requirements
  • Provide QA/QC oversight on deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, EITs, CAD/Design staff, and project team members
  • Help with business development efforts: prepare proposals, assist in client pitches, and support growth of municipal services

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to secure one within 6 months
  • At least 8 years of civil engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in project management of municipal infrastructure
  • Proven experience designing and permitting municipal systems (water, sewer, stormwater, roadways)
  • Proficiency with design and modeling software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, or equivalents
  • Strong working knowledge of municipal codes, MAG (or relevant regional) standards, and permitting protocols
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, with accountability for technical deliverables, schedules, and budgets
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client engagement skills

Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus potential
  • Generous Paid Time Off program
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible scheduling options
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Employer-paid life, long-term disability (LTD), and short-term disability (STD) insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • In-house mentoring, training, and professional development
  • Employee recognition and appreciation programs

We also match employee contributions to local causes like St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, reinforcing our commitment to community impact.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, pregnancy, or any other lawfully protected status.
Are you excited to lead infrastructure transformation, support community development, and grow your career in a forward-thinking environment? If so, we'd love to talk with you.
