Job description

Job Purpose

Do you want to contribute to the growth of transportation electrification?

Dana develops and manufactures electric motors, generators, power electronics, and control systems for commercial, passenger, sports, and recreational vehicles, as well as for marine, rail, and mining sectors. 

Are you a final-year undergraduate or master’s student specializing in electrical/electronic engineering or mechatronics, looking for an end-of-study internship? Are you dynamic, detail-oriented, a team player, and eager to take on challenges? Join Dana!

As part of the Advance Solution Engineering and Application Engineering department, during your internship you will actively participate in the technical integration of traction systems into various customer platforms. This internship offers an immersion into cutting-edge technologies driving the energy transition, in an environment combining innovation, technical rigor, and international collaboration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and support system cataloguing for various Dana traction system based on product lifecycle
  • Participate and contribute in the internal/customer technical meeting
  • articipate in analyzing customer technical specifications and system requirements to support internal design review gate
  • Contribute to integrating electric traction subsystems (motor, inverter) into customer platforms/applications
  • Take part in test campaigns (bench, vehicle, or simulators): preparation, execution, data collection, and analysis
  • Support customer and help diagnose on field system issues and report non-conformities
  • Assist in writing technical documentation (test reports, integration procedures, application notes)
  • Participate in internal process improvement and train users
  • Use internal AI tools to be efficient in problem solving, documentation, process improvement 
Education and Qualifications

Final-year bachelor’s or master’s student in electrical engineering or equivalent

Skills
  • Good knowledge of electrodynamic systems (high voltage electric motor and inverter)
  • knowledge in CANalyzer/CANoe, Python, or testing and instrumentation tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Attention to detail and accountability for your own work
  • Strong interest in electrified vehicles and traction systems
  • Enjoy teamwork in an international environment
  • Investigative and diagnostic mindset, good communicator, collaborator, and problem solver
  • Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
