Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret surveys and engineering reports (geotechnical, environmental, wetlands, traffic, etc.) for use in site design.
  • AutoCAD usage to prepare concept site plans and site plan sets (erosion control, demolition, site layout, grading, storm drainage, utilities, landscaping, lighting, and details).
  • Stormwater design and permitting in multiple states.
  • Zoning code reviews.
  • Municipal and agency permitting and attendance at meetings.
  • Coordination with utility companies and review of design.
  • Some travel for meetings, site observations, etc.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or pre-professional degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited school.
  • Experience with technical software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT with the intention of becoming a PE.
  • 1+ year of experience with site design.
  • Experience with technical software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, truck-turning, Hydrology, etc.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, Google Earth, etc.
