Job description

Robertson Loia Roof, PC has an immediate need for a Civil Engineer in our Alpharetta, GA office.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • 7+ years of civil site design, permitting, and project management
  • Proficiency in Autocad Civil 3D including grading, profiles and pipe networks
  • Working knowledge of hydrology modeling software (e.g. Hydraflow Extensions)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations
  • Understanding of state stormwater & erosion control regulations in the Southeast & Mid-Atlantic regions
  • Ability to prepare stormwater management reports, permit applications and construction specifications

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare site layout, grading, utility, and erosion control plans for commercial and educational facilities
  • Perform hydrology and hydraulic modeling to support stormwater management designs and reports
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, surveyors, and permitting agencies to ensure project objectives and regulatory requirements are met
  • Research regulatory requirements and contribute to Site Investigation Reports during the due diligence phase
  • Support project management tasks including schedule tracking, document organization, and quality assurance review
  • Assist in construction phase support including responding to RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits
