We are recruiting a Sr. Civil Engineer / Project Manager in Kalamazoo, Michigan who supports our clients, co-workers and core principles - "understand our customers and satisfy their needs, do what we say we are going to do and have fun." The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance of the project team members and provide clients with high-quality deliverables on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Project management and engineering of municipal projects, specifically the design and construction of water main, sanitary and storm sewers, and roads and sidewalks, as well as the oversight of numerous related studies including water reliability studies, feasibility studies, and the development of capital improvement plans
  • Manage preliminary and final design and construction phase services for municipal projects
  • Perform technical analysis and documentation
  • Determine and monitor project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Supervise and develop project team members, including goal setting, problem solving, coaching, and career guidance
  • Manage and coordinate pursuits with Business Development team

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and MI PE registration
  • 5+ years of related experience is desired
  • Experience with MDOT LAP preliminary and construction engineering is a plus
  • Experience with the study, planning, design and project management of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, transportation projects, including funding agency coordination and project permitting
  • Municipal project construction administration and field review experience. Construction management experience also desirable.
  • Experience in client management, preparing and meeting budgets and schedules
  • Experience in relationship development and proposal preparation
  • Knowledgeable in municipal, township and county government practices and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
