Civil Engineer I
Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm located in New Berlin and Burlington, Wisconsin with a family-focused culture. Our core business includes civil engineering, surveying, construction observation, and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology, inspired design, and client-centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer I to join our team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 0-2 years of experience. We are willing to train a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field of study is preferred.
  • Passed FE exam or EIT registration, preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Responsibilities:
Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:
  • Completes various civil engineering tasks assigned by a Project Engineer, Manager, or Land Surveyor and work under their direct supervision
  • Work with and seek guidance from experienced staff on assigned projects
  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D to assist in the preparation of surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking
  • Design components of site civil, municipal, and/or transportation projects with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software
  • Prepare reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects
  • Perform construction observation or field services as requested
  • Communicate with project teams in all offices
  • Limited responsibilities in directing staff on project-specific tasks
  • Limited communication with clients, peers, and agencies on project-specific tasks
  • Have the ability to provide overtime to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain insurability under the Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle to conduct business
  • Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the Lynch & Associates team
