The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for driving design excellence, innovation, and operational performance.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** **Design*** Lead and manage civil engineering standards, updates, and quality control across all projects.* Ensure consistency and compliance of Civil design deliverables with Alignedโ€™s design and construction standards. Review and responsibility for quality control of design deliverables through full design phase.* Review and contribute to the reference design standards, incorporating lessons learned, code updates, and client-driven needs.* Support early civil design definition during DD by translating land constraints, campus requirements, building needs, and construction considerations into clear civil design direction.* Support conceptual site planning, test fits, and evaluations for speculative real estate acquisitions; plug in and assist with Land Enablement team efforts.* Provide technical input for expansion, renovation, and upgrade projects at existing facilities.* **Execution*** Assist in the development of civil engineering scopes of work, review consultant proposals for technical completeness and alignment with project requirements, and manage external civil consultants through design to support timely, coordinated, and construction-ready deliverables.* Oversee Civil design coordination across disciplines to ensure seamless integration with architectural, structural, and MEP systems.* Validate readiness of Civil systems for service and support commissioning efforts, as necessary.* Troubleshoot and resolve site performance issues related to grading, drainage, utilities, and other civil systems.* **Revenue*** Evaluate and approve deviations from standard designs based on client requirements.* Lead technical assessments of potential acquisitions and existing assets.* Evaluate Land Enablement & Site Acquisition Due Diligence output, and positioning.* **Forward Vision*** Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and sustainable practices in Civil engineering.* Lead or support the evaluation and implementation of innovative design and construction methodologies.* Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to align Civil engineering solutions with evolving technical needs.* **Communications*** Communicate complex Civil engineering concepts to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.* Lead technical training and mentorship for engineering and design staff.* Represent civil engineering in cross-functional meetings and leadership discussions.**STRONGLY DESIRED WORKING EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF:*** Project Management Software (MS Projects, Procore, BIM 360, or similar).* Civil design software (Civil 3D, AutoCAD).* Knowledge and experience working with Bluebeam, Autocad, & Revit a plus* Experience preparing or reviewing engineering scopes of work and consultant proposals.* Familiarity with fast-paced commercial, industrial, mission critical, data center, big-box retail, distribution, or repeatable campus/site development programs.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering;
