Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to support the design, and optimization of infrastructure and industrial facilities within DRI and Integrated Steel Plant. The successful candidate will contribute to greenfield, expansion, and modernization projects while ensuring compliance with U.S. engineering standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Civil Engineering Design & Execution
  • Develop and review civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and construction documents for industrial and mining facilities.
  • Support the design and execution of foundations, structural systems, roads, drainage systems, utility corridors, retaining structures, and site infrastructure.
  • Assist in engineering studies, feasibility assessments, and technical evaluations for new and existing facilities.
  • Ensure civil and structural designs meet operational, safety, and performance requirements.
  • The incumbent is expected to have working knowledge on construction and installation activities in related domain. Responsibility shall include site design co-ordination and support during construction phase as well as testing & commissioning phase
Site Development & Infrastructure
  • Participate in site grading, earthworks, stormwater management, and drainage system design.
  • Support development of industrial infrastructure including internal roads, culverts, pipelines, utility networks, and water management systems.
  • Coordinate geotechnical investigations and evaluate soil conditions for foundation and infrastructure design.
Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable U.S. codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality control inspections, audits, and documentation reviews.
  • Review material testing reports, inspection records, and construction quality documentation.
  • Support compliance with environmental, permitting, and safety requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to ensure integrated project execution.
  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings, risk assessments, and technical discussions.
  • Provide engineering support during project planning, commissioning, startup, and operational phases.
Budget & Schedule Management
  • Assist in project cost estimation, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Monitor project schedules, progress milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Support identification and mitigation of project risks, delays, and cost overruns.
  • Prepare progress reports and technical updates for project stakeholders.
Structural Integrity & Asset Management
  • Conduct structural inspections and condition assessments of industrial facilities and infrastructure.
  • Support maintenance planning and rehabilitation programs for civil and structural assets.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s / Masterโ€™s Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
  • Experience supporting industrial construction, infrastructure development, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Experience in civil site activities shall be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Revit, or equivalent engineering software.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work in complex, cross-functional industrial project environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
