Job description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Civil Construction Supervisor for a position located near Pipestone, Minnesota. The Civil Construction Supervisor will be responsible for oversight, verification, and coordination of all civil and underground utility construction activities associated with a combustion turbine project.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 7+ years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction.

Civil Construction Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Verify contractor work complies with drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Enforce inspection and test plan (ITP) requirements and hold points.
  • Document and complete owners inspections through our defined inspection program.
  • Escalate non-conformances, risks, and quality deficiencies.
  • Provide oversight of mass concrete foundations, rebar, anchor bolts, and embedded items.
  • Oversee underground utilities including electrical duct banks, piping, and gas lines.
  • Coordinate and verify concrete and soils testing performed by third parties.
  • Serve as interface between owner, contractors, engineering, and QA/QC.
  • Ensure safety compliance and environmental controls such as SWPPP.
  • Maintain inspection documentation and support turnover readiness.

Requirements of the Civil Construction Supervisor:

  • 7+ years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction.
  • Experience with mass concrete and underground utilities.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes and construction sequencing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
