Job Title: Dispatch Coordinator
Shift: 3pm - 12am
Reports To: Dispatch Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $28.00-$32.00/ hour
Location: Fremont

We provide high quality traffic control safety services to construction job sites, such as Flagging traffic through a work site, setting up and monitoring Lane Closures to divert traffic, or Detouring traffic to reduce traffic congestion and prevent accidents. We serve the needs of varied industries and are focused on maintaining a safe work environment for the construction crew, our employees, and the public. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for accurately receiving, recording, and entering all customer job requests into the scheduling system. This role also provides support with scheduling and dispatch operations.
Success in this position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to analyze information quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION DUTIES:
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Take and process job orders
  • Monitor and review incoming emails
  • Enter job orders into the scheduling system with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Reconcile scheduled job orders to ensure data integrity within the system
  • Submit internal inventory requests as needed
  • Maintain electronic filing systems
  • Coordinate hotel accommodations for field crews when required
  • Review job locations to determine Traffic Control requirements
  • Review and interpret traffic control plans
  • Assist with scheduling, routing, and dispatching as needed
  • Collaborate with all departments and locations to ensure accurate scheduling and job support
  • Create purchase orders as needed
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and rentals as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior dispatch experience in the traffic control industry or similar field required
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software (MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint, telematics platforms, Microsoft 365 tools, Salesforce)
  • Typing speed of 40-50 WPM minimum preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude, especially under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules as needed
