SUMMARY

As an Administrative Assistant, you are key in the organization, gathering and dissemination of in-depth accurate information and reports. Your demonstrated expertise of software programs combined with your communication and customer service abilities greatly ensure unit success and functionality.

ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in area of secretarial/administrative support required, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Experience with PC and office programs including, but not limited to, database management, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and organization skills
  • Bilingual preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Administration. Answer telephones, schedule appointments, arrange travel, process time cards, data and work orders, manage budgets and expense reports, etc.; interact and serve as a resource for patients, customers and other external contacts; may arrange or conduct tours, orientations, training sessions or presentations
  • Budget Reporting. May assist in budget preparation, patient billing, charging and insurance claims
  • Database Management. Maintain electronic/computer databases and paper files; retrieve information as needed and may create financial, statistical, narrative and/or other reports as requested
  • Documentation. Prepare a variety of correspondences

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
