Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Citrix Virtual Apps Engineer to design and implement a new Citrix infrastructure for Windows 11 desktop VDIs. The role involves configuring Citrix products, ensuring compatibility, and collaborating with various teams to optimize performance and security.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and configure a new Citrix infrastructure to support Windows 11 desktop VDIs.
• Set up the Citrix environment including Citrix Delivery Controllers, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Director, Citrix License Server, and Citrix Gateway.
• Ensure compatibility with Windows 11 desktop VDIs and optimize for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with networking, storage, and security teams to ensure proper integration of the new infrastructure components.
• Create new Windows 11 VDIs for pilot users, ensuring full functionality of all applications and day-to-day tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during the pilot phase.
• Decommission and delete original, non-Windows 11 VDIs once the testing phase is complete.
• Identify the list of active and persistent users/VDIs that need to be upgraded to Windows 11.
• Coordinate with the business and user groups to understand application dependencies and usage patterns.
• Create an inventory of VDIs that are part of the migration project.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the creation and configuration of VDIs.
• Decommission original non-Windows 11 VDIs after users have successfully migrated to their new Windows 11 environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ Year experience
• Strong in-depth experience on Citrix products especially with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop and its components
• Design, implement, and configure a new Citrix infrastructure to support Windows 11 desktop VDIs.
