Job description

The Private Bank Client Relations Manager (CRM) serves as an extension of the Private Bank Relationship Manager, helping drive new client acquisition, deepen existing client relationships, and deliver a best-in-class experience to ultra-high-net-worth individuals. This highly visible, client-facing role combines residential mortgage expertise, credit analysis, and business development support to help grow the Private Bank's lending and deposit portfolio.
The CRM serves as a trusted resource throughout the residential lending process, assisting clients from initial discovery conversations and mortgage prequalification through underwriting, closing, and post-close servicing. Working closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Lending Specialists and internal partners, this individual provides thoughtful mortgage guidance, conducts financial analysis, and helps identify solutions tailored to the unique needs of affluent and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Success in this role requires deep residential mortgage lending expertise, strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive, client-first approach. The CRM must be comfortable engaging directly with sophisticated clients and prospects while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.

  • Partner closely with Relationship Managers to support business development efforts, prospect cultivation, and new client acquisition activities.
  • Participate in client and prospect meetings, serving as a residential lending subject matter expert and trusted advisor throughout the relationship lifecycle.
  • Conduct residential mortgage prequalification analysis, documentation review, and borrower financial assessments for prospective clients.
  • Assist with fielding prospective client inquiries, introductory conversations, and mortgage rate discussions when Relationship Managers are unavailable.
  • Manage the active residential mortgage pipeline from preapproval through underwriting, closing, and post-close servicing, including pre-qualifications and documentation analysis for prospective clients.
  • Provide mortgage structure recommendations and preliminary deal analysis for complex residential lending opportunities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client financial profiles and proactively identify opportunities to deepen lending and deposit relationships.
  • Collaborate with Private Bank Credit Officers on loan pre-screening, credit analysis, and transaction structuring discussions.
  • Answer client questions regarding loan terms, documentation requirements, underwriting expectations, and initial loan estimates.
  • Coordinate with internal business partners to facilitate timely loan processing, approvals, and closings.
  • Support client meetings, events, and relationship management activities to strengthen client engagement and loyalty.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications, and Professional Credentials
  • 5-10+ years of residential mortgage lending experience, preferably supporting affluent, high-net-worth, or ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven experience originating, analyzing, structuring, and managing residential mortgage transactions from initial client engagement through closing
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, credit analysis, underwriting processes, loan documentation, and residential lending policies strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex borrower financial situations and recommend appropriate lending solutions.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the confidence to engage sophisticated clients, prospects, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven work ethic, sense of urgency, and commitment to delivering white-glove service.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
