Job description

SGI is seeking a Project Manager / Watch Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service (FPS), under the FPS Incident Management Center (IMC) support contract. This contract provides watch desk, briefing, and information management support to assist FPS in monitoring operational activity and incidents, managing information flow, and presenting information to support situational awareness and decision-making. The Intermediate Project Manager / Watch Analyst supports the effective execution of FPS watch operations by managing watch functions, overseeing reporting and information flow, and ensuring the quality and consistency of watch activities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage FPS Watch functions and ensure the quality of deliverables and performance of contract watch standers
  • Manage watch processes and information flow in support of FPS operations
  • Maintain situational awareness of DHS-related events, incidents, and threats
  • Prioritize tasks and coordinate reporting and information sharing with other FPS elements
  • Conduct training for all watch personnel and shifts to ensure compliance with production and watch activity guidelines
  • Assure and control production and service quality related to communications, information transmission, and data and information presentation
  • Develop and implement training programs and training modules for Senior and Junior Watch Officers and data analysts
  • Identify and administer formal and ad hoc training sessions, exercises, and evaluations
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree
  • 12 years of experience in operations centers, emergency management, dispatch, first responder (law enforcement, fire, or rescue), or related work
  • OR a Minimum of 8 of the 12 years in Management
  • Ability to perform duties independently
  • Program/Project Manager certification is desired
