Job Description: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist
Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am Monday - Thursday

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
  • Operate several CNC machines, loading bars of material, monitoring operation & taking measurements, while making quality parts, safely as part of a team
  • Maintain quality assurance procedures and processes, performing quality audits
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Maintain product specifications by observing machining operations, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and housekeeping
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Swiss-style CNC Machining.
  • Experience with Citizen machines is preferred but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with blue prints
  • Basic math skills, including decimals and ability to convert between inches and metric measurements. Algebra and geometry are a plus!
  • Knowledge of metals and materials, including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, and copper, and their machine-ability and ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, Dial or Digital Calipers, Optical comparator)
  • Maintain clear and legible documentation on all work orders and job-related paperwork
  • Demonstrated initiative and improvement mindset a must; Familiarity with quality concepts, such as in-process auditing and lean manufacturing
  • Proven track record of reliability, dependability, maturity, attention to detail, and ability to learn

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift (typically 10 hours)
  • Ability to lift and carry materials or parts weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to maintain a strong grip for tasks such as tightening components, using hand tools and lifting or positioning materials.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating CNC machinery and measuring tools
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed for machine operation and setup
