The Role The Salesperson - Director is a senior revenue-generating position responsible for hedge fund, real money, insurance, and other institutional clients for fixed income financing across rates, emerging markets, corporate bonds, and securitized products. You will act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients while coordinating seamlessly with Trading, Risk, Structuring, Operations, and other Citi Stakeholders.

This is a high-impact role offering significant autonomy, direct P&L contribution, and the opportunity to shape Citi's market position across target client franchises. Primary Responsibilities Originate and execute revenue-generating transactions by identifying client needs, structuring bespoke solutions (including repurchase agreements, total return swaps, and other structured financing transactions), and managing end-to-end deal flow in partnership with Investment Banking and Trading desks Build and expand institutional relationships with buy-side clients (hedge fund, real money, insurance, and other institutional clients), serving as the primary point of contact for Citi's fixed income financing business Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Structuring, Legal, Compliance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Technology and Operations to navigate complex regulatory environments, manage approval workflows, and maintain robust governance frameworks Mentor and develop junior talent (VPs, Associates, Analysts), providing strategic guidance on client coverage, transaction execution, market positioning, and career development while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement Drive strategic business planning by refining sales and marketing strategies, establishing clear revenue targets, penetrating new market segments, and leveraging Citi's global platform to maximize wallet share and deepen client engagement What We Need from You 9-12 years of progressive experience in fixed income financing sales with demonstrated success in growing and maintaining financing balances and achieving high wallet share with target clients.
