We achieve this through strategic communication with diverse stakeholders - from institutional clients and financial advisors to senior leadership and internal colleagues. Our team manages a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including executive communications, public engagements, corporate reputation programs, and business-specific communications support.
Within this framework, the Wealth Communications team focuses on strengthening the reputation of Citi Wealth's businesses, products, and functions. This role sits at the intersection of investment thought leadership, and strategic communications, providing support to the Chief Investment Office (CIO) and Investment Solutions businesses within Citi Wealth.
The CIO and Investment Solutions teams are at the heart of Citi Wealth's value proposition - delivering differentiated investment insights, portfolio solutions, and wealth management strategies to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients globally. This VP-level communications role will support in the execution of communications initiatives for senior leaders across those two businesses, aid in the translation of complex market views, asset allocation frameworks, and investment product narratives into compelling, audience-appropriate communications across all channels.
We embody a high-energy, collaborative, and results-oriented culture. We seek proactive individuals who can anticipate needs, think critically, solve problems effectively, adopt a detail oriented approach and maintain high professional standards with strong judgment and thoughtful work product. We approach every task with a client-service mindset, striving for excellence with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Support in the development and execution of comprehensive, integrated communication strategies in direct support of the Chief Investment Office and Investment Solutions businesses, aligned to Citi Wealth's broader growth objectives.
  • Translate complex investment themes - including macroeconomic outlooks, asset allocation views, market commentary, and product strategies - into clear, compelling narratives for media, clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support in driving proactive and reactive media relations for the CIO and Investment Solutions businesses, cultivating relationships with financial journalists and investment-focused media, and positioning Citi Wealth's investment leaders as authoritative voices in the market.
  • Support in the setting of social media content strategies and execution for CIO and Investment Solutions initiatives, monitor engagement trends and collaborate with internal teams to amplify investment insights across digital channels.
  • Support internal communications efforts to keep colleagues informed and engaged on CIO priorities, investment strategy updates, and Investment Solutions developments.
  • Draft a wide range of high-quality communications materials, including media pitches, press releases, executive talking points, video scripts, digital content, and client-facing narratives.
  • Partner with senior investment leaders, product specialists, and subject matter experts to ensure communication efforts are strategically aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams on event planning, investor forums, and the amplification of investment communications across multiple channels.
  • Proactively identify communications opportunities and reputational risks, developing innovative solutions to enhance the visibility and credibility of the CIO and Investment Solutions platforms.
  • Manage issues and crisis communications that may impact the reputation of the CIO or Investment Solutions businesses, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and continuously refine approaches.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Finance, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate communications, financial communications, or public relations, with significant exposure to investment management, wealth management, or capital markets.
  • Understanding of investment concepts, financial markets, and wealth management products, with the ability to translate sophisticated investment content into accessible, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful, multi-channel communication strategies in support of senior investment or financial leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing media relationships with financial and investment-focused press, and handling complex or sensitive inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
