Job description

ColdFlo Mechanical, Inc. is currently seeking Ammonia Service Technicians in the Sonoma & Napa County market. Essential functions/responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Specific first-hand knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial refrigeration equipment i.e., Chillers, CO2 Ventilation Systems, Boilers, valves, controls, etc. Experience performing system and equipment pump downs, and evacuations.
  • Knowledge and experience performing system calibrations and start-ups, including compressor alignment skills.
  • Experience with safe handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and Halo-carbon (Freon) Systems.
  • Ability to pass a Fit Test and wear a full-face respirator.
  • Knowledgeable in reading blueprints, plans and specifications.
  • Travel is required.
  • Ability to participate effectively in a team atmosphere by modeling and promoting conflict resolution, diversity, ethical practices and organizational citizenship.
  • Make decisions based on customer needs, desires, and expectations and on ColdFlo standards, not on personal preferences, style or theory.
  • Effectively communicate to customers the findings of service calls and actions required to correct.
  • Effectively communicate with Service Coordinator regarding work order progress, scheduling, customer needs, parts and materials needed, quotes, etc.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working as an operator or service technician with industrial refrigeration systems
  • EPA 608 universal
  • RETA CIRO a Plus.
  • Refrigeration Trade School graduate a Plus.

    • Must read, understand, and follow the requirements of the ColdFlo Motor Vehicle Policy and Vehicle Maintenance Policy
    • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
    • Provide a clear DMV record that is insurable with our company vehicle insurance carrier, including no accidents, incidents, or DUI in the past 5 years (and updated annually).
    • Participate in company-sponsored programs to maintain or improve driver safety.
