Job Description Summary: The Circus Program Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Circus Program Director and assists with the delivery of the department programs; Circus, Dance, and Gymnastics. This includes leading classes, communicating with families, and supporting registration. The Circus Program Coordinator is also responsible for aspects of assisting with โ€œroad showsโ€ in which the Great Y Circus is representing the YMCA.

Required Qualifications:

ยท Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, and maintains confidentiality and a productive working relationship with others

ยท Must be available up to 25 hours per week, including evening and weekends

ยท Demonstrates the YMCAโ€™s Mission and Character Core Values in and out of job role

ยท Minimum 2-3 years Circus program or related experience

ยท Experience with Microsoft 365, experience Daxko or CRM a plus

Desired Skills:

ยท Familiar with circus equipment

ยท Comfortable working at heights

Essential Functions:

ยท Assists with written and oral communication to program participants

ยท Assists with running rosters and cross-checking participants for proper registration and payment

ยท Supports daily circus, gymnastics and dance program operations

ยท Assists with YMCA Sustaining Campaign and other fundraising events as needed

ยท Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and special events as called upon

ยท Responsible for knowing and implementing all emergency procedures as needed

ยท Ability to implement solutions to challenging situations by analytical reasoning or research

ยท Responds to telephone, email and in-person requests in a timely and informative manner

ยท Follows the YMCA personnel policies, practices, salary administration plan, emergency procedures and risk management procedures
